How amazing and thrilling would it be to set aside one day to purely immerse yourself into playing a superb Symphony, meet like minded people and have fun? and not to commit to weeks and weeks of rehearsals.
Well I welcome you all to this crazy vision of mine and hope you will come along to this great Symphony in a Day whether you play professionally, or regularly or not so and want an opportunity to play in a large orchestra, then look no further and book your places today!

Plan for the Day
​
Musicians should arrive at St Peter's Church for 9:30am registration ready to start at 10am. (Strings, Wind, Brass & Percussion) the Performance Set sheet music will be given out provided by The Elgar School of Music Library. Feel Free to download an IMSLP version before the day to go over your part.
For Breaks, Tea and coffees and biscuits will be provided. Lunchtime: There are 2 pubs in Inkberrow and especially The Old Bull is lovely and is famous for The Archer's BBC Drama radio play series but you can also sign up with sandwiches lunch for an extra £5.
Then back to continue blasting the movements and putting the Symphony together until around 4pm.
After the rehearsal time we will relax and get ready to perform the Symphony for your friends, family and general public at 5pm. It will cost them only 6 pounds!
When booking the entry please could you email us your instrument so we can arrange the musicians accordingly. If you think your instrument only has a few places in the symphony like in the wind and brass sections please email or contact us on our Facebook page to see if there are still availabilites beforehand.
Getting to Alcester is easy by train to Redditch or Stratford Upon Avon (please state this when emailing us about your instrument as we can arrange free pick ups and drop offs at the Train Station). There is plenty of parking space at St Peter's Church.

Also if you're coming up the night before if you'd like to make a meal of it and we all meet up in the wonderful tourist town of Stratford Upon Avon we can arrange a meal out and get together too.
